Hard Rock Punta Cana Group Escape
Dominican Republic
Hard Rock's all-inclusives — Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Cancún, Riviera Maya, Vallarta and Los Cabos in Mexico — are the music-themed, high-energy choice: big pools, a casino at several properties, nightly entertainment, and kids' and teen spaces alongside adult-only pools and a large spa. Punta Cana is the flagship and the group and wedding favorite.

Our take
Hard Rock is where we point groups that want energy: a 40th birthday, a bachelor or bachelorette week, a company incentive, or a reunion with a lot of twenty- and thirty-somethings. Punta Cana is the flagship and the easiest flight from Florida. It works for families too — the kids' club and teen lounge are real — but a couple looking for a hushed luxury week should look elsewhere.

The real cost of this trip
The “from” price is the operator's land-only rate. This is what sits on top of it, so the number you budget is the number you pay.
| Flights and transfers | Flights from South Florida are extra; Punta Cana is about a two-hour flight. |
| Spa, premium spirits, motorized water sports | Extra at most properties. |
| Flights | Not included; Mexico and the Caribbean are two to three hours from Fort Lauderdale and Miami. |
| Airport transfers | Included at some brands (Sandals and Beaches), extra at most; we build them into the package. |
| Room tier | The 'from' rate is the entry room; swim-up, butler and oceanfront rooms cost more and change the experience. |
| Travel protection | Not included; hurricane-season trips especially warrant it. |
| Gratuities | Included at some brands (Sandals), customary and extra at most. |

Questions we get about this trip
Is Hard Rock family-friendly?
Yes — kids' clubs, teen lounges and family pools exist alongside the adults-only areas. The energy level is higher than at Dreams or Beaches, which suits some families and not others.
Punta Cana or Mexico?
Punta Cana is the flagship, the biggest, and the shortest flight from South Florida. Cancún and Riviera Maya are more compact and pair with Mayan excursions; Los Cabos and Vallarta are Pacific-side and better for a longer stay.
How do groups work?
Group rates apply from 8 rooms, with event space, private dinners and DJ options built in — it is one of the better-equipped brands for a themed group.
How far ahead should we book?
Holiday weeks and spring break book a year out; most other weeks can be booked three to six months ahead. Group room blocks need the earliest start.
What if we need to cancel?
Resort terms vary and hurricane-season clauses differ by brand; we show you the exact terms before you commit.
Cancellation policy
Most all-inclusive packages: full refund 60+ days out, 50% credit 59-30 days, no refund inside 30 days. Hurricane/tropical-storm clauses vary by supplier — read specific terms. Insurance with cancel-for-any-reason upgrade strongly recommended for hurricane-season bookings (Jun-Nov).
Documents needed
Valid passport book (6+ months past return) required for Mexico, Caribbean, Central America. Birth certificate + photo ID accepted on closed-loop US cruises only — flights need a passport. No visa for US citizens for typical destinations; Cuba is the exception (special tourist card required).
