Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a form, request a quote, take a quiz, use one of our planning tools, purchase or redeem a gift certificate, or contact us, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, destinations and travel dates you are considering, group size and composition, budget range, travel preferences and accessibility needs, and any notes you choose to send us. If you buy a gift certificate, we also collect the recipient’s name and contact details that you provide.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and the campaign parameters (UTMs) attached to the link you arrived on. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-SC7CQY7425) and the Meta Pixel for this. These tools set cookies and similar identifiers.

Information from third parties

If you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, or another social platform, we may receive the information that platform makes available to page owners. If you book travel, our suppliers and booking systems may share your reservation details with us so we can service your trip.

Payment information

We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Payments for gift certificates and planning fees are processed by Stripe, which handles your card data under its own privacy policy. Deposits and final payments for travel are collected directly by the supplier (cruise line, resort, tour operator) under their terms.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiry and prepare travel recommendations;
  • research, quote, book, and service the trips you ask us to plan;
  • communicate with you about your trip, including reminders, documents, and post-travel follow-up;
  • send marketing emails and newsletters if you asked to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • understand how our website and content are performing so we can improve them;
  • measure and improve our advertising, including on Meta platforms;
  • meet our legal, tax, and Seller of Travel recordkeeping obligations, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Who we share it with

Travel suppliers. To book a trip we must share the traveler details required by the supplier — cruise lines, hotels and resorts, tour operators, airlines, insurers, and host agencies. This typically includes names as they appear on ID, dates of birth, and contact information.

Service providers. We use vendors to run the business, including Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database), Google (analytics, email, documents), Meta (advertising and page management), Stripe (payments), and Substack (newsletter). They may process your information on our behalf and are expected to protect it.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our team, or the public.

Business transfers. If Travel Connects or AMD Ventures is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, client information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your session, measure traffic, and evaluate advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To control how Meta uses your activity for advertising, use the ad preferences settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to service your travel and to meet legal, tax, and Seller of Travel recordkeeping requirements — generally up to seven years after your last trip or contact. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Analytics data is retained on the schedule set in Google Analytics.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing. Email info@travelconnectsagency.com and we will respond within 30 days. Every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link.

California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may be unable to delete records we are legally required to keep.

How to delete your data

To have your personal information deleted from our systems, email info@travelconnectsagency.com with the subject line “Data deletion request” and the email address or phone number you used with us. We will confirm your identity, delete what we are able to delete, and confirm in writing within 30 days.

If you interacted with us through Facebook or Instagram and want the data we received from that interaction removed, send the same request and include the name on your Facebook or Instagram account. You can also remove our access from the Apps and Websites section of your Facebook settings.

We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself, and any records we are required by law to keep.

Children

Our website is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. We do collect the names and ages of minors traveling in a group when a parent or guardian provides them to us for a booking. If you believe a child has given us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable vendors to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not email us passport scans, full card numbers, or other sensitive documents unless we have asked you to use a secure method.

Links to other sites

Our site links to supplier sites, booking engines, and social platforms we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own — please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
