The parking math nobody runs
Port Everglades charges $20 a day to park, and it charges for the day you leave. A seven-night sailing is eight days — about $160 before you have bought a coffee on board. From Coral Springs you are thirty minutes out, so a drop-off costs two round trips and a favor, and the favor usually wins. It stops winning when you are three or four cabins deep and somebody is already renting a van.
The other thing worth settling before you book: South Florida has three cruise ports, and they are not interchangeable. Port Everglades is about thirty minutes from Coral Springs, PortMiami closer to an hour, Port Canaveral around three. Check which one your sailing actually leaves from before you compare fares — an hour of extra driving on an embarkation Saturday costs more than most price differences save.
