Our take
Portugal is one of the best-value countries in Western Europe and this tour is priced like it. The route is the right one — Porto first, Lisbon last, Coimbra in between — and the Mafra-Sintra-Cascais day is a genuine highlight that is fiddly to do on your own. Only two dinners are included, which we think is a plus here: Portuguese restaurants are cheap and good, and you will want to choose them. The open-jaw flights (into Porto, out of Lisbon) need care.

No. Every price on this page is land-only. We quote flights from Fort Lauderdale or Miami with your dates, and Globus can add airport transfers when the air is on their booking.

What is the Coimbra choice?
On Day 4 you pick one included Globus Choice excursion: a guided walk of the historic district focused on the UNESCO-listed university, or a wine-cellar visit and tasting in the Bairrada region.
How much walking is there?
Expect guided walking tours most days, often on cobbles, steps and uneven ground. If that is a concern, tell us before you commit and we will talk it through rather than hope for the best.
Which dates are cheapest?
